David Arthur Erickson, age 82, formerly of Whitehall, died on Saturday,
September 20, 2025 in the Dove Healthcare Facility in Eau Claire.
David was born on April 14, 1943 in Whitehall to Melvin and Valborg (Swenson)
Erickson.
David graduated from the Whitehall High School and attended the University of
Wisconsin – Eau Claire. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy
from June of 1961 to June of 1965.
David worked at Presto Industries in Eau Claire and later as a caregiver in
Madison. He continued his years of gentle care giving for his parents until their
deaths.
David was an avid sports fan and was well versed in history and politics. His
family always said he would have made an excellent “life line” on the television
show “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire”.
David enjoyed music, especially the Beatles, Joan Baez and Peter, Paul and
Mary. You may remember his public access television show, “Stuff and
Nonsense”, where he addressed many views on several subjects. David will be
remembered as a soft spoken and kind person. He will be missed by family and
friends.
David is survived by his siblings, Betty (Darryl) Sorenson of Southhaven, MS,
Tom of Bloomer and Linda (Brian) Evans of Altoona; his nieces and nephews,
Dana (Rob) Czech of Arlington, TN, Kevin (Tara) Sorenson of Southhaven, MS,
Kurt Erickson of Eau Claire, Kory (Megan) Evans of New Richmond, Tanya (Troy)
Reynolds, Heidi and Natasha all of California and Daniel (Kitty) Erickson of
Arizona.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a brother, Richard.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in
the Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall with Pastor Terry Lorenz officiating.
Burial with military rites conducted by the Hutchins-Stendahl American Legion
Post # 191 will be in the Lincoln Cemetery in Whitehall.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service.

David’s family would like to give a special thank you to the Assisted Living Care
Partners in Eau Claire.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to the Sojourner House in Eau
Claire or the charity of your choice.
The Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall is assisting the family with arrangements.
