David Skroch, age 86 of Hixton, died Friday March 10, 2023 surrounded by his
family.
David was born October 5, 1936 in Independence Wisconsin to Joseph and Sally
(Sobota) Skroch. He had 3 wonderful children along life’s path. David graduated
from Independence High School, and following that served in the United States
Army. He also worked for many years as a professional truck driver.
David was an outdoorsman. He loved fishing of all sorts and went on many fishing
trips, even to Canada. He also liked to ride his Honda motorcycle and do a bit of
traveling.
David was also a sports fan. He was a big Green Bay Packer fan and also liked to
watch the Milwaukee Brewers and Nascar races.
At home David liked woodworking and organizing with his label maker. He also
planted a vegetable garden every year.
Surviving David are his children; Michael Skroch, Donna (Duane) Borgwardt and
Amy (Peter Richards) Skroch; his grandchildren Kaitlin Borgwardt, Olive Skroch
and Hazel Skroch; his brother Paul Skroch and sister Mary Skaar.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life is being planned by family. Date and time yet to be
determined but will be announced.
