Delores Mary Tucker, 85, of Black River Falls, WI, passed away peacefully with family by her
side Saturday, Sept. 30, 3023.
Dee was born September 20, 1938, in Warrens, WI, to Paul and Viola Gebhardt.
Dee had several brothers and sisters, Carl, Donald, Darlene and Gerry Gebhardt. After her mom,
Viola, remarried, she was blessed with five more siblings, Frank, Kristin, Ron, Rodney and
Toney Rowlee.
Dee worked for many years at Fort McCoy headquarters from 1967 until March 1998 when she
retired.
In 1959, Dee married her late husband, Bruce Tucker; they were married 18 years until Bruce
passed away in 1977.
Dee had two children, Martin B. Tucker and Deedee a. Morris. She loved both of her children
dearly and was very proud of them both and their accomplishments in life.
Years after Dee’s late husband passed, Dee met John Schildman in 1989. They spent many years
together enjoying life’s adventures and being happy in each other’s company. She was his
sweetie-pie and he was her John-John.
Dee’s greatest passion was gardening and her beautiful flowers. She also enjoyed taking her
grandchildren on many adventures in “the Jeep” making memories that they’ll never forget.
Dee is survived by her two children, Martin and Deedee; six grandchildren, Kristina Tucker,
Deanna (Jeremy) Conrad, Ashley Laufenberg, Chelsea (Nathan) Stenulson, Kiley Tucker and
Courtney Morris; two siblings, Frank (Donna) Rowlee and Kristine (Ron) Reaves; several great-
grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Dee’s life will be celebration Saturday, Oct. 7, at R&R’s First and Last Chance from 12 p.m. to 3
p.m.
The Buswell Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
