(Madison, WI) — A group of Democrats at the Wisconsin Capitol continue to press to have elections commissioner Bob Spindell replaced. They are still angry about his post-election comments that they say amount to voter suppression. Spindell wrote to Republican leaders explaining that he convinced some black voters in Milwaukee not to vote for Democrats last November. The Democrats say Spindell is a ‘danger to democracy.’ Spindell has refused to step down, and Republican leaders at the Capitol have so far refused to replace him.
