(La Crosse, WI) – A La Crosse County deputy who’s running for sheriff says he did NOT endorse Mandela Barnes for U-S Senate, despite a press release claiming he did. W-I-S-C/T-V reports that Captain John Siegel’s name was included in a list of law enforcement officers that have endorsed Barnes, the Democratic challenger to incumbent Republican Senator Ron Johnson. Siegel indicates there may have been confusion on the part of Barnes’ staff following a conversation he had with them. The Barnes campaign says Siegel’s name has since been removed from the list.
