Dianne Louise Littlegeorge, 69, of Baraboo, WI, passed away in Madison, WI, on March
8, 2026.
Dianne was born to Irwin Littlegeorge and Joanne Blackdeer on June 9, 1956, in
Brockway, WI. Dianne spent her early years in Black River Falls before moving to
Baraboo, WI.
After graduating from high school, Dianne attended cosmetology school and worked as
a hair stylist. Later she worked as an advocate for native American students in the
Baraboo School District. Dianne was also proud to have to worked as a gaming
commissioner for the Ho-Chunk Nation.
In her free time, she enjoyed activities like sewing, cooking, and making jewelry; skills
she was incredibly gifted in. Dianne also loved animals, especially horses and
Newfoundland dogs. Many evenings she could be found watching any sort of sci-fi
movie and had a special place in her heart for the Disney character Stitch from the
Disney movie “Lilo and Stitch”.
Dianne is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, James Long; her daughter Lori
Littlegeorge; her siblings Roy Littlegeorge, Joanna (Greg) Hollenback, and Michael
Blackdeer; her grandchildren Eva (Tyler) and Landon; and her great-grandchildren
Kash, Brynnleigh, and Sage; her uncle Stan Blackdeer, her aunts Veronica Espinoza
and Sophie Blackdeer; her sister-in-law Teresa Littlegeorge; and many other friends and
relatives.
Dianne is preceded in death by her parents, Irwin Littlegeorge and Joanne Blackdeer
Klute, her brothers Steven (Jennifer) Littlegeorge, Mitchell Littlegeorge, Bradley
Littlegeorge; and sister-in-law Cindy Littlegeorge.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11 at the Buswell Funeral Home in Black
River Falls, WI, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place at the Blackdeer
Homestead.
Buswell Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
