Donald F. Sylla, 46, of Arcadia died on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 in Hatfield.
Don was born to Ernest and Darlene Sylla. He grew up in Arcadia where he attended school. He later
followed his passion for installing audio equipment and worked at Audio Designs in Winona until he
pursued interests in the food and beverage industry. Don owned, co-owned, and operated multiple
businesses in the area. Don was a member of the Arcadia Fire Department and the Tavern League of
Wisconsin. Don enjoyed working on and restoring Chevy trucks with his father and continued that hobby
after Ernie passed. He was very proud of his son, Cameron, who brought joy to his life. Don had a love
and passion for outdoor adventures. He enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, boating, and ATV/UTVing. Don
was president of the snowmobile club and helped with grooming trails so that others could enjoy them
as much as he did. Don enjoyed seeing other people happy and having fun. He was a great cook and
gained his skills from his mother.
Don is survived by his mother, Darlene Sylla, his son Cameron, siblings: Debra (Tim) Smith,
Pamela Sylla, and Lynn (Brian) Holzworth and nieces and nephews, Jessica and Leslie Smith,
Melissa Sylla, Nathaniel and Carson Holzworth.
Proceeding Don in death was his father, Ernest Sylla; sister, Sandra Sylla; and brother, Ernest Jr.
Don’s sense of humor, laughter and generosity in helping others will be missed. Rest in peace, Don. You
