Stevens Point, WI – World renowned animal behaviorist Dr. Temple Grandin is coming to
Stevens Point, WI to speak at the 2023 grazing event on August 12th, 8:00am-4:00pm,
hosted by Golden Sands Resource Conservation & Development Council, Inc.
“We are thrilled to have Dr. Grandin coming to our grazing event”, says Brooke Sperberg,
Grazing Specialist for Golden Sands RC&D. “We have all seen her movie and admire her
research in animal behavior and handling. She has truly changed and impacted the
livestock industry in a positive way with her work.”
Dr. Grandin will present on her recent publication about why “Grazing cattle, sheep and
goats is an important part of a sustainable agriculture future.” Dr. Grandin will be
kicking off the event as keynote speaker at 9am. Other guest speakers include experts
from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and Ryan Parker from Quail
Forever.
Tickets are limited and are on sale now until July 31st at http://www.goldensandsrcd.org.
Tickets include a plated lunch, vendor booths and a social hour. Public welcome.
