February is Career and Technical Education Month in Wisconsin, following a proclamation from Governor Tony Evers. The Departments of Workforce Development and Financial Institutions say CTE programs help boost graduation rates, improve academic performance, and prepare students for high-demand careers through hands-on learning. Wisconsin’s Youth Apprenticeship program hit a record high last school year, with more than 11,000 students and over 7,400 employer partners statewide. Officials also remind families that Wisconsin 529 college savings plans can be used for technical colleges, apprenticeships, and other career training programs.
