Elizabeth Ann Henderson, age 90, of Galesville, died on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 in
Caretta Senior Living in Holmen.
Elizabeth was born on January 19, 1933 in LaCrosse to Edward and Alice (Bagstad) Cornell.
Elizabeth graduated from the Galesville High School and the Buffalo County Teacher’s
College. She taught in the Crystal Valley School and also in the Galesville Elementary School.
She was also employed as a teacher’s aide in the Gale Elementary School. Elizabeth later
worked at Northern Engraving and TRW in Ettrick.
Elizabeth married Forrest Henderson on April 3, 1954 in the Hardie’s Creek Lutheran Church in
rural Ettrick. Forrest preceded Elizabeth in death on December 19, 2014.
Elizabeth enjoyed reading and sewing. She was a wonderful cook and baker, keeping the
family supplied with homemade bread, goodies and meals, often using produce from her
garden. Elizabeth made lefse which she sold at the local grocery store. She was also active
in the church, teaching Sunday school and being a member of the Ladies Aid.
Elizabeth is survived by three daughters, Monica (Jeff) Keesling and Valerie (Scott)
Langworthy both of Dodge Center, MN and Deborah (Belah) Boe of Blair, six grandchildren,
Stacy Keesling, Joel, Casey (Diana) and Drew (Edie) Langworthy and Jacob (Amy) and Rachel
Boe; ten great-grandchildren, Sierra, Austyn, Rece, Cecil, Graham, Carson, Archer, Levi,
Lauren and Logan and a brother, Richard (Elvira) Cornell of Ettrick.
In addition to her parents and husband, Elizabeth was preceded in death by a son, Michael
and a grandson, Matthew Keesling.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the French
Creek Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery both in rural Ettrick. Pastor
Barbara Knutson will officiate.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. in the French Creek Lutheran
Church in rural Ettrick and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Memorial may be designated to the French Creek Lutheran Church.
The Jack Funeral Home in Blair is assisting the family with arrangements.
