Ernest G. “Buck” Hisel, 67, of Tomah, died September 27, 2025, at his home surrounded by his children. He was born September 8, 1958, to Ernest and Josephine (Long) Hisel Sr. in Richland Center. He was a member of the East Troy High School Graduating Class of 1976. After high school he moved to the Adams County Area. Buck worked for Coulee Region Enterprises for 15 years and recently had Buck’s landscaping business. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent time fishing around the county at his secret spots. He enjoyed golfing and cheering for the Green Bay Packers. Buck was a very generous person, who would never judge. He would help anyone and many times Buck was the first call when someone needed help. He had a stoic personality on the outside but loving and sentimental on the inside. His family was #1 in his heart, and he was always a proud father and grandfather.
He is survived by his children, twins, Emily and Adam Keenan of Iron Mountain MI, and Jennifer (Shane) Bates of Bancroft, 10 grandchildren, Riley, Aidan, Noah, Alison, Micah, Sophia, Olivia, Madelyn, Allison and Dakota, a brother, Lawrence Hisel of Elkhorn, 3 sisters, Amy (Steve) Miller of Big Flats, Lisa Hisel of Menomonee, Rhonda Thompson of Walworth County, 2 best friends, Roger Bungert of Sparta and Gordy Bungert of Brooks, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
