Gov. Evers to Visit Richland Center and Chippewa Falls to Highlight 2023-25 Budget Recommendations to Bolster Child Care Statewide for Working Families
 
MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers will tomorrow, Wed., March 8, 2023, visit Richland Center and Chippewa Falls to highlight his investments to bolster child care statewide for working families. As announced in his 2023-25 Biennial Budget Message, these investments include more than $340 million to provide a permanent investment in the Child Care Counts: COVID-19 Stabilization Payment Program and more than $22 million to support the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families’ innovative “Partner Up!” Program. Learn more about Gov. Gov. Evers will visit Sunshine and Giggles LLC in Richland Center at 12 p.m. Sunshine and Giggles LLC is a Partner Up! Program participant and has received $165,925 through Child Care Counts.

Following this, the governor will visit the YMCA of the Chippewa Valley in Chippewa Falls at 2:15 p.m. The Chippewa Falls YMCA has received $600,345 through Child Care Counts.  

Attendees must follow all local public health and updated CDC guidance to prevent the spread of COVID-19, including, as appropriate, mask wearing and social distancing.
