The former boyfriend of Winona Minnesota woman, Maddie Kingsbury was arrested the day her body was found. Adam Fravel is being charged with second-degree murder.
The charge comes two days after a deputy found the body of Madeline Kingsbury, who would have turned 27 on June 1. She had been missing since March 31 after dropping off her two young children at day care in Winona. Fravel is the father of her two children aged 2 and 5. Her parents have been caring for the children since her disappearance.
Fravel appeared in court on Friday. His bail was set at $2 million dollars, or $1 million with conditions that included no contact with Kingsbury’s parents or siblings. He would be allowed to have contact with his children if he is released on bail. At this time, it is unclear whether or not he has an attorney.
Kingsbury’s remains were discovered Wednesday in a wooded area along a gravel road about 46 miles south of Winona. While police have not yet declared a cause of death, it was reported that her body was concealed in such a way to be hidden from view.
Fravel’s next court hearing is scheduled for July 20.
