The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is inviting the public to experience Wisconsin’s natural beauty through the 32nd season of Natural Resources Foundation (NRF) Field Trips. These expert-led adventures run from April through early November and offer 278 unique experiences, from birdwatching by train in northern Wisconsin to canoeing the Upper Dells.

Christine Tanzer, NRF field trip director, says despite the cold, Wisconsinites are already planning their summer adventures. This year’s trips include:

Dragonflies of the Wolf River Watershed

Introduction to Foraging

Hawk Banding at Cedar Grove

Forest Bathing in the Driftless Area

Trips vary in difficulty and accessibility, with 20 ADA-accessible trips and 45 low-physical-demand options. Registration opens April 8 at noon and is only available to NRF members. Trips run rain or shine, and no dogs are allowed.
