A Friday morning house fire in Sparta causes extensive damage. According to Sparta Fire Chief Mike Arnold, the call came in just before 7:00 for a fire at 406 North Court Street. When crews arrived, heavy smoke and fire was coming from the back of the house and roof. Firefighters had the fire under control in about 30 minutes. No one was home at the time. The cause remains under investigation.
