The Independence and Whitehall Fire Departments responded to a fire at Bushy’s Meat Market, in Independence, Thursday night. The fire was reported just before 10:00. According to police, firefighters were able to contain the flames to a single structure. In a Facebook post Friday, Bushy’s said the fire did not reach the store’s interior. The cause remains under investigation.
