Gary Lee Sedelbauer, age 63, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 in his
home after a four year battle with cancer.
Gary was born June 29, 1959 to Norbert and Phyllis (Dentel) Sedelbauer in Tecumseh, MI. The
family moved to Dexter, MN in 1972. He was captain of his high school football team and
graduated in 1977 from Southland High School. After graduation he moved to Colorado and
started an office building cleaning service. In 1982 his family offered him a venture in their family
dairy farming operation. Gary was in charge of the dairy operation, which was one of the top
dairy operations in the state.
In 2003, Gary met Betsy Dickman and they were married on Sanibel Island, FL in 2004. Gary
ran an onsite exterior steam cleaning business until 2022. Gary enjoyed being with his family,
especially his sons, William and Samuel. He also was part of the Big Brother program with the
BRF school district. Gary always made time to listen to people. He had a God-given talent to let
people know that they were important and valued and that Jesus loved them.
Gary is preceded in death by his father, Norbert Sedelbauer, brother, Dave Sedelbauer and
nephew, Gregory Sedelbauer.
Gary is survived by his wife, Betsy; sons, William and Samuel; mother, Phyllis Sedelbauer of
Hixton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lynn and Barb Sedelbauer of Black River Falls, Mark and
Mary Sedelbauer of Hixton; nephews and nieces, David (Sue) Sedelbauer, Chad (Danika)
Sedelbauer, Laura Sedelbauer, Ryan (Maritere) Sedelbauer, Matthew (Sharonna) Sedelbauer,
Jonathan (Janessa) Sedelbauer, Amy (Jake) Boe and 16 great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Gary’s life will be held at Family Worship Assembly Church, 740 Alder St, Black
River Falls on Saturday November 5, 2022 at 11am. Pastor John Cowles will officiate. Friends
and family are invited to visitation at the church on Friday, November 4 from 3 to 7pm, and
Saturday from 10 until start of service. Burial will take place at 2:30 at the Sechlerville Cemetery
outside of Hixton, following a luncheon.
