Helen Louise Wilson, age 88, died Thursday February 3, 2022 at Dove Healthcare in
Osseo, WI.
Helen was born in Wisconsin June 28, 1933 to Oliver and Hilder (Adamson) Severson.
She was a homemaker her whole life, raising her sons, taking on odd jobs only when
necessary. Her favorite job was working at the Rutledge Home in Chippewa Falls.
Helen was an old fashioned sort of woman, having humble roots starting with an education
at the Eimen (one room) school house in Golden Valley. Helen’s favorite pastime was just
to visit with local friends, she loved engaging people in good conversations.
Helen was an animal lover, especially the dogs she had over the years, some were mixed
breeds, but she was particularly fond of her collies. She enjoyed gardening and was proud
of her tomatoes. Helen was a wonderful cook and her roast and dumplings were always a
welcomed surprise for dinner.
Surviving Helen are her son Thomas ‘Tom’ Wilson; granddaughter Courtney Ellen
Wilson; and her brother Stanley Severson.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her son Steven in 1991; and two brothers
Richard Severson and Leonard Severson.
Private services have been rendered to the family per Helen’s wishes. Plans are developing
for a ‘Celebration of Helen’s Life’ sometime over Memorial Day Weekend, with a place
and time yet to be determined but will be announced as the date gets closer.
