33-year-old Anthony Sylvester, IV, the Hixton man accused of attempted homicide was sentenced, Friday in a Jackson County Courtroom, to eight years in prison, followed by 6 years of supervision. Sylvester was arrested last October for breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home, threatening her male friend, and stabbing him. He later took a plea deal and was convicted of first-degree reckless injury.
