On October 21, 2024, at approximately 6:53 PM, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle crash on State Highway 108 in the Town of Melrose. A passenger car reportedly rear-ended a large grain truck, resulting in one fatality and another occupant injured. The driver of the passenger car, identified as 36-year-old Catlin Donnelly from Melrose, was found deceased at the scene. The other occupant was airlifted for medical treatment. The investigation is ongoing, with assistance from the Wisconsin State Patrol, local fire and emergency services.
