The Alma Center Fire Department, Alma Center First Responders, and Black River Falls EMS responded to a one vehicle accident on Old Stage Road near Fees Road just after two o’clock Friday. First responders found a four door Saturn had left the roadway and struck a tree, due to icy road conditions. The driver’s condition is unknown at this time. The crash remains under investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department. Emergency personnel remind drivers to be cautious of icy patches on roadways, which are prevalent in random locations, especially on village and city side streets and township roads.
