Yesterday, just before 11:00am, a call came in to the Trempeleau County Sheriff’s Office from the Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office.

They requested aid in stopping a vehicle pursuit at Townline Road and county Road R. They were in pursuit of a Stolen Vehicle, a 2014 Fiat. It was reported as traveling south towards the Trempealeau county line.  It was reported that the vehicle turned around at Townline Road and then headed towards Augusta on Highway 10. The vehicle reached speeds of over 100 miles per hour. Due to safety concerns, the pursuit was called off.

The vehicle was then seen again near Alvestead Road. Spike strips were deployed, however the vehicle kept going. According to deputies, the driver was a white male in his 30’s with short hair and partially balding. There was a passenger in the vehicle, described by law enforcement as a white female with brown hair and wearing a puffy jacket.
