The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident that happened Friday morning, March 13th, in the Town of Irving.
Authorities say deputies were first called around 10:08 a.m. after a report of a suspicious vehicle at a residence. The caller asked officers to check on the homeowner after they were unable to reach them by phone.
Shortly afterward, dispatch received a 911 call from the home reporting that an unidentified person was inside the residence. Deputies who were already on the way arrived and found 48-year-old Brian Jaderston of Galesville being subdued by bystanders.
Officials say Jaderston became unresponsive, and CPR was started immediately. Emergency medical crews responded and attempted lifesaving measures, but Jaderston was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say Jaderston was not known to the homeowner and did not have permission to be inside the house or on the property. A vehicle believed to be connected to him was found parked behind a garage on the property. Authorities believe he entered the home with the intent to burglarize it.
The investigation is ongoing, and officials say there is no threat to the public at this time.
