Jackson County’s Land Conservation and Agriculture Committee will meet Wednesday, May 20th at 1 p.m. in the County Board Room at the Jackson County Courthouse in Black River Falls.
Committee members will elect a chair and vice-chair and review updates from the University of Wisconsin, USDA agencies, county forestry, zoning, and the Land Conservation Department.
The agenda also includes discussion and possible action on several conservation cost-share and water management programs, livestock and manure management ordinance updates, farmland preservation planning, wildlife damage claims, and a proposed portable speaker purchase.
Committee members will also discuss the upcoming Wisconsin Land and Water Conservation Association meeting scheduled for June 16th in Black River Falls, along with a Lake Altoona economic impact study and county bills for approval.
