On June 1, 2025, at approximately 6:35pm, the Wisconsin State Patrol responded to assist at the
scene of a single vehicle injury crash on Hwy 12 in Jackson County. Preliminary investigation
indicates a 2010 Kia Soul was westbound on Hwy 12, west of the Monroe County line. The vehicle
traveled onto the right shoulder while negotiating a curve. The driver lost control of the vehicle,
resulting in the vehicle rolling over multiple times. The vehicle was occupied by a female driver and
2 children. The driver and one of the children were not wearing their seat belts and were ejected
from the vehicle. Both ejected occupants sustained severe to life threatening injuries and were
transported by helicopter, and the second child by ambulance, from the scene to a local hospital.
The crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
