The annual meeting of the Jackson County Historical Association will be held on 23 Mar 2024, 1:00pm THIS IS OPEN to the public. The meeting is In the BLACK RIVER COUNTRY COMMUNITY ROOM, Enter in the bottom door on the left. There will be the general monthly meeting at the beginning with the election of board members, a review of the past year’s activities, and set goals for the next 12 months.
There will be coffee and snacks and a showing from the Memories of Spring Creek school dedication.
This meeting is important as several members are stepping down into lesser roles and we need people to fill the vacancies.
“We do many things that need YOUR support, we need VOLUNTEERS. A point to make is that the more volunteers the smaller the workload for the others. We need greeters, (prior knowledge not required), we need persons with some knowledge of the computer world (to work on data entry, we will train you in small areas of the software.) The list goes on. Keep in mind that we live three (3) histories, the past, the present and the future. The society began in 1934 and we have a lot of good history within the County.” Said Bruce Thayer, President, Jackson County Historical Association.
Relive some of that past history, learn who was/is important.
“Come see us on the 23, you might find this a real hoot.”
