James John Klimek, age 75, of Independence, died on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 in the
Gundersen Health System in LaCrosse.
James was born on December 23, 1948 in Whitehall to Everett and Verna (Marsolek) Klimek.
He served in the United States Army and was employed with Clipper’s IGA and Pilgrims in
Independence prior to his retirement.
Jim is survived by many cousins, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a brother, Ron and a sister, Sharon
“Shari”.
Graveside services and burial will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in
the Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Independence. Father George will officiate. Military
rites will be conducted by the Sura-Wiersgalla American Legion Post #186.
The Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall is assisting the family with arrangements.
