On October 2 nd , 2025, James L. Nyman passed away unexpectedly in Black River Falls,
WI, at his and his wife’s, Terri A. Nyman, home.
James was 71 years old. Born in 1953 in Chippewa Falls, WI 54729. James was one of
three siblings and son of James Sr. and Harriet Nyman.
James Nyman was happily married to Terri A. Nyman on March 23 rd , 1974.
He was a 1972 Chippewa Falls, WI High School graduate. After high school, James
worked for Holiday Companies for 27 years and another 20 years for Norther Christmas
Trees in Merrillan, WI.
James enjoyed coaching baseball in Black River Falls and outdoor activities including,
bow hunting, fishing, camping, cross country skiing, and snow shoeing.
James is survived by his wife, Terri Nyman. They were married for 51 years. James and
Terri had three sons; Torrey D. Nyman, Andrew J. Nyman, and Steven J. Nyman.
Grandchildren include Torreys’ two children; Tyler and Hope and Andrew’s daughter
Elliannah Nyman. Steven had two step-children who were Hailey and Vanessa Leis.
James was preceeded in death by his mother and father, Harriet and James Nyman Sr.
The Buswell, Torgerson’s, Jensen-Modjeski, and Schiefelbein group of Funeral Homes
conducted services. A funeral service and visitation will not be held as a small family
gathering will be held at a later date in remembrance of James.
One of James’s favorite sayings was “it doesn’t get any better than this”. He was loved
by many family and friends.
