Jamie Robert Wallace, 65, passed away peacefully in La Crosse, Wisconsin, on March 2 nd ,
2024.
He was born to Robert and Sally (Olson) Wallace in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, on May 5 th ,
1958, the second oldest of five siblings. Jamie spent his childhood in Black River Falls and
graduated from Black River High School in 1976.
Jamie married the love of his life, Susan, in June of 1978. Together the two had four beautiful
children and shared 46 wonderful years together.
He retired from the Ho-Chunk Gaming Casino where he worked in security for nine years. Prior
to working at the casino, he had worked at the Bar-B Travel Plaza for over 20 years. Outside of
work, he loved spending time outdoors, biking, canoeing, hiking and especially loved visiting
Wazee. Jamie loved singing old country, including Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson, and enjoyed
watching NASCAR.
He is survived by his loving mother Sally, his devoted wife Susan, four children; Tracy (Shasta)
Wallace, Wendy (Joe) Galewski, Robert (Mellissa) Wallace, Becky (Jeremy) Hall, grandchildren;
Brandon, Keara, Ean, Alexis, Dashaun, Dante, and Meah, and great-grandchildren Caiden,
Kashton, Noah, and Hudson.
Jamie is preceded in death by his father, Robert, and granddaughter Makenna.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 22 nd at the Buswell Funeral Home. Visitation
will begin at 3:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 4:00 p.m. officiated by Reverend Terry
Marg. A celebration of life will be held on Jamie’s birthday, May 5 th , 2024.
