Janice Mae Hamilton, 90, of Eau Claire passed away Monday, May 19, 2025, at her home under
the care of Mayo Clinic Health and Home Hospice.
Janice was born on March 12, 1935, the only child of John and Grace (Waldera) Galuska. She
attended school in Arcadia, graduating with the Class of 1953. On July 11, 1953, she married
Kaye Don Hamilton at St. Gerard Magella Catholic Church in Culver City, CA, where he was
stationed in the United States Army. After Kaye’s discharge, the couple and two sons lived in
California. Janice worked as chief financial officer of their roofing and contracting company for
over 35 years. After retirement, the couple lived in Arizona for a few years, and motor homed
for 3 years before moving back to Wisconsin in 1999. Janice enjoyed baking, collecting
glassware, and watching a good Western. She loved to socialize with friends and cousins while
out to eat or over coffee. Janice had a pristine eye and kept her home neat and organized. She
was a devoted Catholic, great companion to her husband, and an adored mother and
grandmother.
Janice is survived by her son: Keith Michael of Eau Claire; grandson: Robert Kaye Tyler Hamilton
of Eau Claire; and many cousins and in-laws.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kaye; son: Kenneth; and many in-laws.
Family and friends are welcome for visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 23,
2025, at the Wozney-Killian Funeral Home, Arcadia, where there will be a public prayer service
at 11:30 a.m. with Father Kyle Laylan officiating. Entombment will immediately follow in the
Garden Mausoleum of the Catholic Cemetery in La Crosse, WI. To express condolences to her
