On January 24th, 2024, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Alma Center-
Humbird-Merrillan School District requesting an investigation into two separate incidents involving students in their district. The individuals directly involved in the alleged incident are
all male juveniles and no details regarding their identities will be released.
The Sheriff’s Office conducted a thorough investigation into the incidents and determined that
the conduct by the students could be considered disorderly. Our investigation was referred to the
Jackson County District Attorney’s Office for review.
Any administrative action regarding ACHM School District students or staff will be handled
internally by school officials.
