As you may have heard, Jackson Electric Cooperative is hosting Jackson County’s COVID-19 vaccination clinics every Thursday in February and March. According to Jackson Electric’s General Manager, Kevin Babcock, their facility provides the space needed for the public to safely drive in, park, and receive their vaccination without getting out of their vehicle. Babcock says it’s an important cause for our community in collaboration with many county health, emergency, and highway agencies. Ellen Moldenhauer, Jackson County’s Public Health Officer says that clinics of this nature require a huge investment of time and resources and that all of the planning and partnerships have paid off in helping the county’s residents receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Those eligible for a COVID-19 vaccination, should contact Jackson County Public Health at 715.284.3970.
