Joanne Hass, age 82, passed away on August 7, 2022 at Meadowbrook in Black River Falls, WI. She was born September 23, 1939 to William and LaVere (Beede) Hass in Black River Falls.
Joanne graduated from Alma Center High School. She worked at Winona Industries and Watkins in Winona. She also spent many years working at the Hillview Nursing Home in La Crosse, WI before returning to the Black River Falls area to care for her father when his health declined.
She loved animals, especially cats. She enjoyed cooking and going for car rides, especially during the fall when the leaves would change colors. Joanne also was a talented seamstress, even known to make her own drapes.
Joanne is survived by her sister, Sharon (Bob) Radawitz of Fountain City, WI; and brother Randy of Merrillan, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Yvonne; and brother, Terry.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Torgerson’s Funeral Home with Brother Jim Pauley officiating. Burial will follow at Houghtonburg Cemetery in Alma Center. Friends and family are invited for visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the Funeral Home.
