Jolene Lisa Ystenes, age 60, of Black River Falls, formerly of Blair, died on
Thursday, May 29, 2025 in the Meadowbrook at Black River Falls in Black River
Falls.
Jolene was born December 6, 1964 in Whitehall to Richard and Joan (Bautch)
Ystenes.
Jolene lived in Blair her whole life until her health forced her into a residential
care facility in Black River Falls. She worked at Ashley Furniture for 30 years. She
loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews. Anyone who knew her knew
that her laugh was contagious. Jolene was a proud Catholic and attended St.
Ansgar’s Catholic Church in Blair. She loved dogs, especially Toby and Pee Wee.
They are engraved on her headstone.
Jolene is survived by her two brothers, Daryl (Patricia) of North Augusta, SC and
Steve (Ginny) of Ettrick; seven nieces and nephews, Oscar (Ashton), Brian, John,
Jason, Joseph, Rachel and Josh (Elizebeth) and many great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jolene was preceded in death by several aunts and
uncles.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 9, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in St.
Ansgar’s Catholic Church with burial in the Rest Haven Cemetery both in Blair.
Father Zacharie Beya will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time
of the service.
The Jack Funeral Home in Blair is assisting the family with arrangements.
