Kenneth I. Myers, 74, of Arcadia, died from stroke complications on Sunday, November 19,
2023, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Green Bay, WI.
Ken was born in Arcadia on May 19, 1949, to Wilfred “Buzzy” and Dorothy (Klonecki) Myers. Ken
enjoyed growing up and working on the “home farm” in Myers Valley. He graduated from Arcadia High
School in 1967. He enjoyed playing football and competing in track while in high school.
Ken attended Winona Technical College and earned an Associates Degree in Soil Conservation.
He proudly served in the United States Army serving two years active duty serving abroad in Korea for
part of his active-duty term. He then joined the Army Reserve in Winona MN, and was part of the 407th
Civil Affairs unit, from the late 70’s through 1994, and was deployed to Iraq during Desert Storm. He was
an active member of the Tickfer Erickson American Legion Post 17, where he served on their Funeral
Honor Guard and had his turn as Commander. Ken worked for Trempealeau County in the Soil
Conservation department, helping farmers with their farms and river and stream watershed projects.
Ken had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time in the woods, whether it be
cutting wood, deer hunting or going for walks or planting many, many trees. He loved fishing trips with
his 407th crew and his sons and grandsons. Ken also had a talent for making homemade wine and took
delight in sharing his creations with family and friends, and also donating many bottles for fundraising in
the community.
In retirement, Ken and Dottie, enjoyed traveling. They spent their winters in Texas, soaking up
the warm weather and creating cherished memories together. Ken was a devoted family man who took
great pleasure in being with his loved ones and attending their various events. A fond memory he had
was celebrating his 50th Wedding Anniversary on an Alaskan Cruise. He especially loved grandchild
trips, where he and Dottie took one grandchild at a time and spent a week in various locations spoiling
them.
Ken is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dottie; children, Jesse, Corey (Jennifer), Ben (Lacy), and
Emily (Jeff) Kulig; 11 grandchildren, Jared (Sarah) Myers, Elaina Myers, Kaden Myers, Ava Myers, Ella Dee
Myers, Kole Benjamin Kulig, Eve Kulig, Jake Myers, twins Brynn and Owen Myers; Great-grandson, Briar
Myers; sister, Mary Jane Wolfe; sisters-in-law, Sheila Goodman, Lidin Seiler, Susan Seiler, Ruth Myers
and Betty Bechley. Brother in laws, Marty and Peter Seiler, Kelly Goodman and many other nieces and
nephews, cousins and friends. He enjoyed meeting and making many dear friends in Fiesta Village,
Mission TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Dorothy; in-laws, Ray and Betty Seiler;
brothers, Twin brother Joseph (Died at one day old), Ronald and Bob Myers; and brother-in-law, David
Wolfe.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Holy Family
Catholic Parish with Father Kyle Laylan officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation beginning
at 9:30 a.m before service at the church. Burial service will follow at Calvary Cemetery. A celebration
