Kim Marie Thronson, age 63, of rural Osseo, died on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 in the
Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.
Kim was born on October 13, 1962 in Whitehall to Harold Lloyd and Romelle Marie (Wiench)
Christianson. She was our beautiful baby sister. Kim resided until the age of four on a farm in
rural Whitehall with her parents and siblings until they moved to Whitehall.
Kim graduated from Whitehall High School in 1981 and went on to get her bachelor’s degree
from Cardinal Stritch University. Kim was married to Dale Poeschel and they later divorced.
She married Todd Thronson on September 16, 2006.
Kim worked at Marten Transportation for over thirty years as owner operator supervisor. She
also worked at Blondie’s Diner before working at Marten’s and Valley Supper Club while she
worked at Marten’s.
Kim was always willing to help others when needed. She loved riding horses and going on trail
rides with lots of friends.
Kim is survived by her husband, Todd; four sisters, Diane Estenson (Barry), Jane Pelke (Dennis),
Kari (John) Klomsten and Debbie (Gary) Fromm; her mother-in-law, Jerrianne Thronson; three
step-children, Ashley (John) Felstad, Travis Thronson, Kayla (Jesse) Bautch and many nieces and
nephews.
Kim was preceded in death by her parents, her father-in-law, Bob Thronson; two brothers,
Roger and Gary Christianson; three brothers-in-law, Jerry Estenson, Glen Pelke and David
Hegland; two sisters-in-law, Jane Christianson and Kari Fox and a great-niece, Becca Ede.
A celebration of Kim’s life will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 1-4 p.m. at the
Whitehall-Pigeon Rod and Club in rural Whitehall.
The Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall assisted the family with arrangements.
