Each year members of the Knights of Columbus Local Council 4697 sell raffle tickets, with funds being returned to area organizations. Interfaith Volunteers is one of five organizations that benefited from this year’s raffle.

“Our Sharing Joy – Direct Mail Campaign will be ending at the end of February, and all funds raised will help us continue as we grow in our new facility,” stated Chown. “We are still providing grocery delivery, transportation, and friendly visits to help our neighbors age in place. With all the new volunteers, we are welcoming new care receivers. If you know of anyone who would benefit from our services, please have them call Interfaith.”
The new 5,100 square foot facility allows them to expand their Time for You Dementia Respite Program, which provides respite to caregivers while offering engaging activities to those impacted with dementia. We are excited to add a third day to this vital program in the spring. Interfaith is also partnering with the Aging and Disability Resource of Jackson County to offer an Early Memory Loss Program, called Art of Mind Over Matter. This program is for those with early-stage dementia or those who are experiencing changes in memory to comfortably engage with and connect to others who are on a similar journey. Participating in a positive, supportive, and stimulating program has been proven to enhance personal well-being and may help individuals with these diagnoses to remain healthier, for longer.
