Classes are forming for the Strong Bodies programs in both Loyal and Granton. Loyal will hold classes
starting on February 19th from 9:30-10:30 on Mondays and Thursdays. These will take place at the Loyal
Library, 214 N Main Street with instructor Teresa Hall. Granton will hold classes starting on March 4th
from 11-12 on Mondays and Thursdays. This class will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, W 2894 Granton
Road with instructor Cheryl Ganther. The suggested contribution is $20.00, which is used to expand and
fund the program to all locations across Clark County.
Strong Bodies is an evidence-based, progressive strength-training program throughout the United
States. Its goal is to improve the health and well-being of middle-aged and older adults by increasing
access to structured, safe and effective strength training programs. Scientific research has demonstrated
that exercise with weights will increase strength, muscle mass, and bone density in middle-aged and
older adults. This will in turn, reduce the risk for numerous chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart
disease, osteoporosis and arthritis.
Come join us for the fun as we return to in-person classes across Clark County in 2024. To register,
please contact UW-Extension office at 715-743-5121.
