Larry “Mike” Michael McAlister, age 81, of Eau Claire, formerly of Whitehall, died on Saturday,
October 7, 2023 in Oakwood Health Services in Altoona.
Larry was born on January 23, 1942 to Robert and Helen (Roady) McAlister.
Larry was a social worker in Trempealeau County after getting his degree at St. Cloud
University. He enjoyed amateur radio, model airplanes and camping with family.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Shannon Kirshenbaum; a son, Shawn McAlister; five
grandchildren, Stephan Hudy, Marzyna Owens, Abigail, Brayden and Christian McAlister as
well as a great-granddaughter, Jade Hudy.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the Jack Funeral
Home in Whitehall with Mr. Scott Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Kane Cemetery in
Greene County, IL.
