The Hixton Volunteer Fire Department has had a very long few days. Crews have been assisting with the Arcadia Fire near Warrens. At 2:00am this morning, HVFD E#2 was returning from the Wildfire, when a call came in for assistance in Brockway for a wildland fire.
Hixton E2 was only a couple miles away and assisted with extinguishing the fire. HVFD E2 crew was back in service at 0315.
Then at 0420 HVFD, Hixton EMS and BRFFD EMS were paged to the 105 Westbound on I94 for a semi roll over that was blocking both lanes. HVFD E2 and crew arrived on scene at 0426. I94 was shut down with reroute of traffic on State Hwy 95 east – State Hwy 12/27 north – State Hwy 10 west – back to I94. No injuries were reported and I94 is now back open.
Be advised that the semi will be removed at a later time frame per State Patrol.
