(Madison, WI) — The head of Madison’s school board is defending the family friendly drag show that was supposed to be held at East High School later this week. MMSD Board of Education President Ali Muldrow yesterday lashed out at former Governor Scott Walker who called the drag show a strip show. She said she is ‘grateful for every adult’ who has ‘made our students feel safe to be exactly who they are.’ She said the former governor should not be ‘using children at school to stoke division.’ Muldrow defended the drag show as allowing students to have ‘expansive, creative, self-determined and liberating relationships with gender expression.’
