Think big — really big. The combined Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots have soared to an estimated $1.31 billion ahead of this weekend’s drawings.
Friday night’s Mega Millions jackpot stands at $843 million, the eighth largest in the game’s history. It’s been rolling since June 27, when the last jackpot was hit in Virginia.
Meanwhile, Powerball sits at $467 million for Saturday’s drawing. Wisconsin has a rich Powerball history — 19 jackpot winners since 1992 — tying the state for fifth place nationwide. In just the past two months, Wisconsin players have claimed 22 Powerball prizes worth $50,000 or more.
For those feeling lucky, tickets for both games are available now. Mega Millions draws Tuesday and Friday nights; Powerball draws Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
And for a local option, Wisconsin’s Megabucks jackpot is up to $6.5 million.
Remember, you can’t win if you don’t play — but play responsibly.
