Car theft reports in Milwaukee are going up while the age of some of the suspects is going down. Police accused a 12-year-old of stealing a vehicle Monday. W-I-S-N / T-V reports surveillance video captured the scene when the vehicle crashed and showed a small suspect running away. Another vehicle was stolen by a group of young people last week and the youngest taken into custody was also 12 years old. Police say a lot of Kia and Hyundai models are being stolen because they have features making them easier to take. Car thefts in Wisconsin’s largest city have jumped 150 percent since 2020.
