Devontae D McFarland, 27 years of age, from Milwaukee has been arrested by the Wisconsin State
Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense, with one child
in the vehicle under the age of 16.
On 2/27 at approximately 2:41 pm, WI State Troopers stopped a Dodge Charger on Interstate 94
near Osseo for a speeding violation. Troopers noticed evidence of controlled substances within the
vehicle. The driver advised he had last smoked marijuana one hour before driving. Troopers also
noticed a 3-year-old child without a car seat in the front seat of the vehicle. Troopers performed field
sobriety with the driver, who was subsequently arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the
influence of a controlled substance. Troopers arranged and released the juvenile to a responsible
third party.
