A missing towel belonging to a high school student in Janesville School District was found and uncovered a crime.
It was reported a student spotted her towel – which had been missing for weeks – in a locker that was secured by a administrative lock. When a staff member helped retrieve the towel, a GoPro camera was found. The camera was turned over to the school resource officer and, within just a few hours, a crime was discovered and the suspect named.
The Craig High School coach was identified as Brian Kitzman. From investigations, it is estimated that over a dozen students were recorded over the course of two years. He was arrested within a half hour of realizing his crime. The Rock Co. District Attorney’s Office has since charged him with capturing an intimate representation and invasion of privacy, both of someone under 18 years old. He appeared in court on Monday where a cash bond was set at $10,000 with additional conditions, including having no intentional contact with minors.
