The Wisconsin Department of Corrections has opened a new mobile job lab at Oshkosh Correctional Institution to help incarcerated individuals prepare for reentry into the workforce. The lab, launched in partnership with the Department of Workforce Development and the Fox Valley Workforce Development Board, offers services like resume writing, job searching, and interview preparation.

DOC Secretary Jared Hoy called the program a key step in supporting successful reentry, while DWD Secretary Amy Pechacek highlighted its role in strengthening Wisconsin’s workforce. The lab previously operated at New Lisbon Correctional Institution, which now has a permanent facility.

Since January, more than 680 individuals have used job labs across the state. At Oshkosh, where nearly 400 people are released annually, the new mobile lab aims to make a lasting impact.
