(Madison, WI) — The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says some snowy owls have been spotted returning to the state. DNR officials believe the first of the migrating owls was observed at Rib Mountain State Park last month. Another was seen in Ashland on November 1st. Experts say they will have a better estimate of how many of the birds will be in the state for the winter by the end of the month.
