A Wisconsin man has been arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence with two young children inside. David E.M. Young, 34, of Eau Claire, was stopped by Wisconsin State Patrol on Saturday, March 1st, for speeding on Hwy 312 at Jeffers Ave. Troopers noticed signs of impairment and conducted a field sobriety test, leading to his arrest.
Young faces multiple charges, including OWI (1st offense) with minors in the vehicle, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving with a revoked license. The vehicle’s passengers, including a 1-year-old, a 4-year-old, and their mother, were taken to a safe location. Young was booked into the Eau Claire County Jail.
Another arrest for impaired driving in Wisconsin—Isaiah Amos, 30, of Milwaukee, was taken into custody by Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a vehicle under the influence (1st offense) with five children under 16 inside.
A Trooper stopped Amos on I-94 eastbound at mile post 102 for speeding. During the stop, signs of impairment were observed, and field sobriety tests confirmed he was under the influence of a controlled substance.
Amos was charged with OWI (1st offense) with minors in the vehicle, possession of THC, and speeding. The five minor passengers, ages 13, 9, 7, and 2, stayed with family members who were also in the vehicle. Amos was taken for a blood test at a local hospital before being released to a responsible adult.
