Nancie Sue Cooper, 60, of Independence, died suddenly on Friday, September 18, 2026, in her
home.
Nancie was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 4, 1966, to Thomas and Brenda (Vuncanon)
Vincent. She was an artist all of her life and enjoyed sketching, crafting, photography, sewing
and making jewelry. Nancie had a deep love for anything outdoors and was an avid deer
hunter; activities she enjoyed sharing with her nephews and the love of her life: Dan Woychik.
Nancie was employed for many years with the First National Bank in Independence and
Whitehall branches, and also made and sold delicious baked goods out of her home bakery.
Nancie is survived by her boyfriend, Dan; mother: Brenda Vincent; sisters: Tracy and Candice
Vincent; nephews: Shane, Patrick, Kyle and Riley; and great-niece and nephew: Agnes and Levi.
She was preceded in death by her father and niece: Cheyanne.
Family and friends are welcome for visitation from noon to 3 p.m. on Friday, September 25,
2026, at the Edison Funeral Home in Independence, where there will be a time of sharing
beginning at 2:30 p.m., followed by a private burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, rural Taylor. To
