The Black River Falls Area Foundation has announced the appointment of Anneliese Eddy as its next Executive Director.
Eddy was chosen following a competitive search and will officially begin the role on March 2, 2026. A Black River Falls resident, she’s well known for her community leadership, including her work as co-founder and president of the Black River Area Foster Closet, as well as involvement in major local fundraising projects and service on the city’s Planning Commission.
Foundation leaders say Eddy’s appointment comes as the organization begins work under a new Strategic Roadmap, focused on strengthening operations, growing charitable assets, improving grantmaking, and expanding the Foundation’s role as a community leader.
Eddy succeeds Julie Murray, who has served as Executive Director since 2011. Murray will semi-retire but remain with the Foundation as an Operations Specialist and mentor during the leadership transition.
The Black River Falls Area Foundation supports the local community through philanthropy, grants, scholarships, and partnerships.
